My story so far

I am an EBSA Assistant Head Coach and а WPBSA World Snooker Coach… but it all started back in 2009 when two kids in the local snooker club wanted somebody to coach them. I was skilled with the cue but I didn’t know much about coaching at that time. They wanted to grow and improve and that got to me. I had to help them.

I started reading everything I could find on the internet to expand my knowledge. There was nobody around me from whom I could learn so I had to improvise. Seeing my first students grow showed me I was on the right path and I decided I wanted to extend my helping hand to others. That led to my first coaching course becoming an EBSA Coach.

A few years later the EBSA decided to make me their Assistant Head Coach which gave me the rights to start training people to become certified coaches. Then I also qualified as a WPBSA World Snooker coach certificate with the help of the legendary Steve Davis, and also acquired a Child protection certificate.

Throughout the years, I have led Cue Zone at a few European Championships. This has been a great opportunity for me to work with people from different parts of Europe who have totally different backgrounds as players. Each one of my students has contributed to my abilities as a coach and I am grateful for that.

With more than 10 years of professional experience I have grown to understand how important it is to have a personal approach to every person and that coaching is much more than just being a good player. I am proud to say that I have coached some of my students from their very first shot on the snooker table to their first century break.

My experience as a player has developed my abilities around the snooker table. I always do my best to then transfer my knowledge to my students. I have extensive experience playing professional players and I have also taken part in the World Championship qualifiers.

Additionally, I have learned a great deal from participating in exhibition matches with the top stars of our sport like Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, Mark Williams, Mark Selby, and Stephen Hendry.

When it comes to being on top of your snooker game, I believe that exercising your body is crucial. Staying in good shape has benefits for both your physical and mental performance. This idea will become more and more popular as snooker players discover how much it improves their overall game. Personally, I like cycling and conditional exercises.
